ACN SA are a development/social investment partner to the UCI Stellenbosch World Cup. Each year ACN SA provide the opportunity for 10 young community volunteers to complete our accredited Educational Programme. The programme involves an accredited sport coaching and administration skills programme combined with life skills, entrepreneurship and bike mechanic skills training. As a practical component of the course, the candidates are tasked with volunteering at the UCI World Cup (and the Absa Cape Epic) across the spectrum of event divisions and are mentored in how to deal with social problems as well as developing their own community-based bike mechanic businesses for longer-term sustainability. Candidates are selected in partnership with ACN’s network of community partners.

ACN SA aim to grow the programme each year to encourage more young people to access the programme. ACN SA are looking for corporate partners who can support the entrepreneurial element of the programme, to secure further training, bursaries,  mentoring and business support to young people wishing to develop their  business skills and provide internship and work experience opportunities.
