Empowering 30 female cricketers in Gauteng to make positive changes in their communities

ACN SA worked with 30 female coaches who embarked on an accredited sport for development and life skills programme funded by Momentum and delivered in partnership with eta College and Cricket South Africa. ACN SA presented an accredited skills and ACN life skills programme. The objective was to provide a total of 30 candidates with improved life skills, cricket coaching skills and sport administration skills. Aside from valuable life skills the 30 female cricketers from Gauteng achieved the accredited Coaching and Administration qualification. The programme was designed to empower these young women to significantly improve their chances of employability and assist the graduates in becoming change agents for their communities. One of the Laureus YES graduates Bongiwe delivered some of the non accredited sport for development training and imparted her knowledge and experience to the group.
